1. Tell us about yourself and your business.

My name is Angie Schumacher and I live in Colorado where I run my own Training Businesses: Building A Better U and Building A Better U Boot Camp.

I have always has an interest in the fitness field, but just became certified in the past few years. I was doing full time daycare and then added training onto that, which kept me busy about 60 hours a week.

Just this past summer I cut back on the daycare, increased the number of clients in my home and added boot camp to the mix, along with getting my Level 1 IYCA certification.

In the past few months, I have transitioned to only doing Semi-Private training in my home and have added a few more boot camp classes. I also have plans for a Kids Fitness Camp this summer.

This is my passion...helping others, teaching others and guiding them to a long and healthy life. I wouldn't have it any other way.

2. How has being a part of PTU impacted your career / business?

When I come to PTU, I feel like I am a part of a family. I come here to find answers only to find so much more! Just watching and learning from all the other members just makes me even more motivated to make all my dreams a reality.

I have learned that running a business can be fun and doesn't need to be treated like a business, but as a learning experience as well. If you learn to have fun and make lots of great money, then it definitely doesn't feel like a "job" either.

3. What are your 3 biggest tips for your fellow PTU Members?

1. If you know what you want your business to become, don't let anything or anybody tell you that it won't happen. Set some goals and make them happen no matter what. If you hit a brick wall, back up, look around and find a way around it, but keep pushing! It will all be worth it in the end!

2. Surround yourself with like minded people, such as this PTU group. But also find people in your community that can help you with ideas, suggestions and that can spread the word about your business and help it to grow!

3. Always be DOING. Just because your business is going well at the time, don't sit back and watch. Look for ways to improve or to offer 110% to every client. This will be one of the best things you can do for your business.
